Another old soul...
Once again… photographing children is not my thing, as a rule. They may not realize it, but I’m more scared of them than they are of me. But in this particular case, when my friend Ben asked about having me do some photos of little Tina for her birthday (3rd year in a row!) I was once again struck at the level of maturity this particular 3 year old possesses.
Ok, maybe this isn’t exactly illustrative of the point I was just trying to make.
How about this?
Getting a three year old to pose the way you want them to, at the best of times, is not always the most easy thing to do. But Tina was excellent at taking gentle direction and working the camera.
I was also pleased that what given the options for what colour background she wanted to work with, Tina actually suggested the Navy Blue, as opposed to the grey, white, black, red or yellow. And as her mom and dad had come in colour coordinated clothes, I got one image of Tina with her mom that gives me, as a non-parent but as someone who has lost their own mother, some feelings of nostalgia.
