Grads with the families...

One thing I often hear from parents when talking to prospective high school grad clients, is that “we haven’t done family photos since the kids were small.”

While on the one hand, this tends to make me sad, it’s also understandable - lives are busy! And they grow up in the blink of an eye. And often the family will say “oh, we can just do photos of the grad…” but I always try to push for images of the whole family. For one, if everyone is attending the celebration, chances are, everyone will have an outfit picked out for it. And for two, it really is a good life event landmark, usually the biggest one you’ll have until the kids start getting married.

And it’s also good to keep in mind that you can bring more than one outfit! I often encourage the grad to bring a change of clothes in the event they want some images that aren’t either something super formal or their cap and gown, that way you have multiple options to choose from for either wall art or an album.
